Our Story
Lost In Da Souse Kitchen began with Ms. Carla, known as “Ms. Souse,” and her lifelong love for Southern cooking. Growing up in a family where food meant love, she spent years perfecting recipes inspired by her grandmother’s kitchen. After years in corporate jobs, she followed her dream of opening a restaurant that would bring people together over soulful, flavorful food.
With savings and determination, she transformed a small building on Old National Highway into a warm, welcoming space. Rustic tables, family photos, and a cozy kitchen set the tone for the Southern charm she envisioned. The menu was simple but impactful: wings, red velvet waffles, and the now-famous Smoke Boxes.
The name, "Lost In Da Souse," came to her while creating her signature sauces—representing not just flavors but the full, comforting experience of dining there. From day one, the restaurant became a community hub, featuring local musicians, hosting events, and even offering a pay-it-forward meal program.
Today, Lost In Da Souse Kitchen is more than a restaurant. It’s a place where every bite tells a story and every guest becomes part of the family. What dish will you try first when you visit?
